Water Rate/ Impact Fees Increase

To cover increasing costs associated with maintaining and improving the water system, HWSC was forced to increase the amount on water rates effective January 2026.  

Impact fees are increasing due to our system experiencing a significant rise due to multiple new subdivisions being built. As more development connects to our system, the need grows for expanded capacity, such as line upgrades, increased storage/pumps, and other infrastructure needed to support new growth.  The increased fees ensure that existing customers won't be impacted by the cost of expanding our system. Impact fees will be $1200 per new connection effective December 1, 2025.
